Inspired by Nickelodeon's "World Wide Day of Play" campaign. One of those days in our 2000's youth that saw the iconic static screen. By mixing layers of tulle this bag reuses the static imagery of televisions.

Garment made from skai leather, made to hide part of the face. Can be reformed to be used as a bag, with hidden compartment to smuggle goods into the stadium stands. With band to shape football scarf.

sample study to creating cargo style pants from unusual material. combining synthetic material and the art of zero waste to see what happens. pockets made to use all fabric.
Opted to move the zipper to the side for research purposes. Not as effective, as the shape of the pattern created tension on crotch area, making it seem like an uncomfortable wear.

made with a breathable corduroy fabric with Spongebob affiliated flower pattern. Used to form of the pattern to created cargo style pockets. Opted to try an open zipper frame instead of a classic jeans style zipper.

Currently using this bag everyday. Can hold a laptop, some books, water bottle, keys, wallet & sunscreen.
Made from thick Terlenka for durability. Double zipper and 2 side pockets in the lining
and 1 side pocket.
BOYS AT PLAY (2018-2021)
A collaborative effort to explore the contours of one's youth. Coming together and sharing experiences, photos and memories. A friendship that blossomed into a collaboration, an experience like no other. Together with visual artist and friend Amr Sakr we explored our dual experiences of growing up in the Netherlands. Different backgrounds, same tv-shows, same football heroes. Integration for the nation!
Sadly, this project did not pass the "sample" stage of designing due to our academic careers. Nevertheless it set the stage & hunger for more fashion projects.
